Office Technology Management class took a trip to Ala Moana Shopping Center. They were broken up into two groups. The given task was to visit stores and restaurants to collect the bar code, price, sales percentage and type of each item.

The two groups enjoyed this teamwork assignment and took pictures of a few stores and their experiences. They ate lunch together and bonded over the assignment by sharing their experiences. In our next class, the students gathered the data together to create and manipulate it on a spreadsheet, create replica menus from the different restaurants, collaborate and secure data by using different formulas. The students also created different data validation rules and configured the cells to present the data visually.
