Ulu Pono at HTI

Kapiolani Community College’s Ulu Pono project is a result of a three year grant (2009-2012) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor to help individuals acquire the skills and competencies that promote opportunities for employment in health careers.

Through the Ulu Pono Project, Hawaii Technology Institute (HTI) is collaborating with Kapiolani Community College (KCC) to offer Billing and Coding classes at HTI through video teleconferencing.

The classes will be held two evenings each week at KCC and will be video teleconferenced to HTI’s campus in Kakaako.

“It is a privilege to work with KCC to train workers for Hawaii’s health care industry and to enhance the skill levels of Hawaii’s workforce,” says Naomi Digitaki, HTI’s President / CEO.

For more information on these classes, please contact Brent Gaston via e-mail: bgaston@hawaii.edu.
